She was gifted with the ability to cook good food. She and Tex opened
several restaurants, provided work for many of her younger brothers and
sisters through the years in Richmond and Riverside, California. When
failing health forced them to close their business, they moved to Lompoc
and devoted time to improving the Senior Citizen Program.
