Notes:
[From notes by Patricia Jean Canova:] He was born in the old Canova house in Saint Augustine on St. George Street, now called the Prince Murat House. His nickname was "Captain Tony" since he mainly captained tugboats and private yachts in and around Florida and the Southeast U.S. He also had orange groves along the Indian River at one time, near Cocoa Beach. At the time of his son's birth (Henry Louis Canova) in 1906, he was the captain of Henry M. Flagler's personal yacht, hence his son's name Henry.
